Rain Or Shine

This past week was exceptionally rough. Set up for the Wyandotte Street Art Fair went smooth enough, but my main mission was to spend time with my Nanny, who had been brought home on hospice a few days earlier. She passed on Wednesday morning at 4:25. She was surrounded by love. While I didn’t want to leave my family that morning, I also knew the distraction of the show and keeping busy would keep me from falling apart throughout the day. 😔

The 4 day show was full of heat, humidity, downpours of rain, and amazing people. Throughout it all, the community showed up. This ended up being my most successful show ever. Every small sale or even words of appreciation for my art is so validating. Doing this can be extremely hard, especially when profit is minimal.

After this past week, I’ve got alot of work ahead. Not just restocking items I sold out of, but finally getting this website fully updated for all of you who I promised I would have listings ready for soon. So, in the coming weeks, I’ll be updating much more on here as well as getting new paintings done, so also check Facebook.com/DustJacketStudios and instagram.com/dustjacketstudios for work in progress photos.

My next event will be at the Stagecoach Stop in Irish Hills for a Vincent Price double feature on Saturday August 9th.
