Welcome

This site is still a work in progress, but one giant step toward my goal of putting myself an my art out into the world. For those of you that know me in person, you know that one of my main intentions when moving back home to Michigan was to keep myself surrounded by art and provide a space where artists of all genres and abilities can learn, create, and flourish. There have been so many setbacks along the way, but I am still on that path. Here in this virtual space I want to offer a landing pad for local creators to display and market their crafts and fine art.

One of the most important things going to art school taught me was that I still definitely did not want to be part of the “art world” of galleries and exhibitions. That was just never my scene. Just like the reason I was drawn to printmaking, any medium is welcome without judgement. I was encouraged to define what it meant to me. I got to play and mix materials like paper, wood, glass, ink, paint, pencil, plastic, and metal all into the same project - a book. It’s that dynamic environment of people just making a mess and enjoying the process that I miss. It’s that buzz of a studio with artists working on a variety of themes and stories that I want to bring to my small town.

Join me on this journey. It’s been a long time in the making, but we are chugging right along.
